Architetto e illustratore ungherese (Kiskorpád, Somogy, 1884 - Budapest 1948). Autore di illustrazioni ed ex libris (tavole per Találkozás hamupipökével di B. Révész, 1909), progettò anche mobili, ispirandosi dapprima all'arte popolare ungherese e appropriandosi poi di stilemi barocchi. Dal 1913 prof. nella scuola di disegno industriale di Budapest, fondò il Laboratorio di Budapest (Budapesti műhely). La sua attività si sviluppò poi verso una ricerca di strutture architettoniche logiche ed essenziali ("Casa di vetro" a Budapest, 1935).
Dagli inizi del ‘900 ad oggi una dimora elegante non poteva e non può non avere un angolo dedicato, alla lettura, all relax o al ritrovo con i propri amici ed ospiti, accompagnato da un calice di vino, champagne, liquore e magari anche da un buon sigaro.
La collezione dedicato ai carrelli da servizio d’epoca, nasce da questa vecchia tradizione ed ha ispirato la nostra ricerca non solo in Italia ma anche in giro per il mondo dando vita ad un insieme di elementi d’arredo di stili e materiali assolutamente compatibili con l’ideale di casa più attuale.
Lajos Kozma (June 8th, 1884 - November 26th, 1948) was one of the most authentic representatives of Hungarian Art Nouveau in the early-20th-century. He had an unprecedented influence on the European design through his drawings, buildings and furniture.
